This position is located in Garden Grove & Irvine, CA.

**This position will start off at our Garden Grove location at 4am and will commute to a premier client site in Irvine on a daily basis. Transportation will be provided by the company to and from our Garden Grove office to the client site. The normal work schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday from 4am-12:30pm.

This On-site Horticulture Specialists will be responsible for hands-on garden maintenance of landscapes on a premier client site located in Irvine. Ideal candidate will have experience in Southern California gardening, living walls and sustainable gardening practices. Must be a garden enthusiast who enjoys all aspects of horticulture and outdoor gardening.

*Responsibilities of this position will include, but not limited to:

• Perform natural pruning, weed removal, living wall maintenance, light repair of irrigation systems and pest and diseases application
• Day to day gardening along side crew members
• Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with guests and clients to educate them about the specific plants in the gardens and living wall

*Skills & experience that are necessary as a Horticulture Specialists will include, but not limited to:

• Experience and knowledge with care and needs of CA landscapes, work experience with various gardening methods, tools and maintenance of living walls
• Ability to talk about plants to general public, use hand tools, such as pruning shears, load and operate a blower for long periods of time, use a hand rake for long periods of time, operate of a motor vehicle, must have CA Driver’s license
• Associates degree or higher in Horticulture related field is preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, able to work eight hours or more per day, with breaks necessary, for 5 days a week (it may require working overtime & on the weekends), able to work under direct sunlight for long periods of time, able to carry 40 pounds (bags of fertilizer, mulch, etc.), able to load / unload a trailer full of burlaps up to 50 pounds, able to bend, stoop and twist throughout the day

• Must be able to see, hear and speak clearly in order to communicate with supervisors, crew members, and, occasionally, customers. This position can be a physically demanding role requiring the incumbent to be able to:
• Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
• Reach over head
• Work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
• Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete job tasks
• Lift approximately 50 pounds of weight frequently though-out the workday

Hourly Rate:

• $28.00 - $30.00 per hour (specific compensation may vary based on overall skills, experience and location)
