The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department and will also be responsible for the production of periodic financial reports and ensures reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Highlights of our Accounting Manager role include, but are not limited to:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reports, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
• Assist in the hiring of accounting and financial staff and conduct performance evaluations.

Accounts Payable:

• Work with the team to ensure we receive maximum vendor discounts.
• Review and process monthly incentives based on discount utilization.
• Review and sign checks.
• Release ACH and submit positive pay reports.

Payroll & Government Compliance:

• Complete weekly payroll and ensure government compliance.
• Ensure annual surveys are completed as required.
• Process and pay license renewals and registrations.
• Prepare personal property tax returns.
• Correspondence review and resolution as required.

Credit Cards:

• Process and allocate expenses as appropriate.
• Issue new cards, monitor activity, and import monthly.
• Weekly download and update of commercial credit card activity.

Miscellaneous:

• Download of weekly field wages and report update.
• Weekly zero-hour report; potential employee separations that were not identified.
• Monthly reconciliation of cell phone invoices and tracking inventory.
• Prepare semi-monthly checks for 8 properties.
• Track and prepare capital equipment requests including preparing checks.
• Other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.

Are you a right fit for this role?

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Required: 8+ years of related experience
• Required: Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Preferred: Previous experience in Landscape or Construction
• Preferred: Proficiency in Sage and/or Paycom
• Preferred: Proficiency in Accounting and Tax Preparation software

• Base Salary: $110k - $130k DOE
