Sales Manager - Landscape Construction

Location: Riverside, CA

The Sales Manager is responsible for directing the short and long-term sales, marketing, and product development programs targeted toward existing and new markets in the Riverside area.

Highlights of what our Sales Manager will do:

  • Directs the sales, marketing, and product development programs, both short and long-term, targeted towards existing and new markets in the Inland Empire.
  • Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ensures prices is in line with profit goals (based on estimates).
  • Manages pending sales and prioritizes accordingly.
  • Manages sold jobs and ensures the field is properly informed via pre-job meetings, etc.
  • Acts as a liaison with operations staff to establish a communication path with the customer.
  • Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ensures that sales team make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner.
  • Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Establishes and maintains industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Participates in industry functions/organizations to further market the Company.

Are you the right fit for this role? Skills and experience that an ideal Sales Manager would possess are:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university.
  • 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outside sales experience within the landscape or construction industry highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to meet objectives and achieve financial projections.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel.
