Landscape Project Engineer

As a Landscape Project Engineer, you will support Project Management and Operations teams by helping coordinate materials, equipment, and documentation for large-scale landscape construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Highlights of what our Project Engineer will do:

  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure projects are delivered according to contract specifications, on schedule, within budget, and with a high level of quality.
  • Assist with pre-construction planning to ensure all required preparations are completed prior to project mobilization.
  • Support the preparation of purchase orders, material procurement, and submittal packages.
  • Prepare and submit submittals and RFI’s as needed.
  • Assist in preparing change orders and budget updates based on revisions to contract plans.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, material lists, and project specifications.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing job cost breakdowns and tracking labor and equipment usage.
  • Maintain project lifecycle documentation and project logs.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Project Manager, estimating department, operations team, field staff, and subcontractors.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of construction experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
